I couldn't register 8 online, but fortunately after several prompts to do so, there was a "don't ask me again" option which solved that problem. I had Sound Forge 8 working on my Windows 7 64-bit system until my 2 computers crashed within 2 weeks of each other and I had to reinstall all my software from scratch. Now it's marketed by Magix which has a horrible rating for their (lack of) technical support. Overall Opinion: This was great software when it was marketed by Sonic Foundry and after Sony acquired Sonic Foundry several years ago.
