In the year of 2018, from a company like Kawai this is unacceptable. After 3 weeks of lite use one of the keys is acting up, the note gets stuck but not the key itself, you just hear the note hanging there like if you were stepping on the sustain pedal. They must collect all the units, repair them and sell them as refurbished. Kawai knowingly is not calling these units back. Now the keys are randomly getting triggered. I purchased this keyboard less than 2 months ago (in 2019) and I have only played 30-40 hours with it in total. Just like others mentioned, I am also experiencing issues with the keybed. I've still never actually played one, but I can't have such unreliability. Plugged the replacement in, get it all set up…. At this point I'm thinking that this is a lot of work, boxing and unboxing these damned things…but wanted to play it and use it! So…. went through the returns process, got the next new one. Brand new board, but it literally never powered up, lit up, or made a sound. ordered from Sweetwater and received the next day (I live in Fort Wayne), but guess what….? DEAD ON ARRIVAL. I *was* excited about the idea of this board. I am looking for a replacement! Had to perform a factory reset so lost all my custom patches too. I can only imagine if that happened during a performance. Locked right up with a piercing Banshee scream sound. HOWEVER.I have had numerous issues with the keyboard trigger sensors (You Tube it!) and last night, the thing just crashed. I use the board as a MIDI controller and interfacing with other modules is pretty simple.
Sounds fantastic! Really like the panel layout. However, I'm very very disappointed in the quality of the product itself.
